Things To Do:

• Skiing and Snowboarding- there is plenty of options for an avid skier or snowboarder at Lake Tahoe. Try your hand at ungroomed off-piste slopes Palisades Tahoe is famous for or check out prime resort conditions at Heavenly Resort or North Star Resort.

• Heavenly Gondola- Take the scenic gondola ride up to the top of the mountain just behind South Lake Tahoe, to get sweeping views of Lake Tahoe below.

• Emerald Bay State Park- Located 12 miles north of South Lake Tahoe offers calm waters and sand beaches. It is important to note that the beaches can only be reached via hiking. You can also check out the Scandinavian style castle, Vikingsholm.

• Donner Memorial State Park- This California state park is located just north of Lake Tahoe. The park offers a memorial to the Donner Party, picnic area, hiking trails, beaches and fishing.

• Pope Beach- located on the southside of Lake Tahoe, this 3/4 of a mile of sandy beaches offers plenty of area for swimming, picnics, and relaxation

• Boat Tours- There are more options than imaginable for boat tours of Lake Tahoe. You can choose between a sunset, dinner, sightseeing, fishing, or a speedboat cruise to name a few.

• Golf- there are numerous golf courses located all around Lake Tahoe. Try your hand at Edgewood Tahoe course which annually hosts American Century Celebrity Golf Championship.

• Gabbling- There are numerous casinos located on the Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe that are perfect for a night of fun or a way to spend one of the few bad weather days in South Lake Tahoe.
